The principal goal of Ayurveda is to provide healthy life to individuals through preventive and curative measures.
Shalakya Tantra is one among eight branches of Ayurveda which deals with the disease occurring above the clavicle (Urdhava Jathrugata Bhaga) like Eye, Ear, Nose, Throat, Mouth, Oral Cavity, Head and Neck. Acharya Nimi is considered as authentic person related to this branch.
Acharya Sushruta is the only person to explain the Netragat Roga (Ophthalmology) and Karna Nasagata Roga (E.N.T.) in systematic way. There is a well developed Shalakya Tantra department in our institution having all required facilities like – Instruments, Equipments models, Charts, Tutorial room cum Museum, Departmental Library etc. to provide proper teaching and training to the students.
